Frequently Asked Questions

We offer both! Our tours can be arranged as completely private experiences with your own guide and driver, or as small group tours on select dates. Private tours offer maximum flexibility and personalized attention, while group tours provide a social experience and cost-effective pricing. Most of our guests choose private tours for the flexibility to adjust the itinerary and pace to their preferences.

Most tours include: accommodations (hotels and/or Nile cruise ships), private Egyptologist guide, all internal transportation and transfers, domestic flights where specified, and some meals (varies by tour). Generally NOT included: international flights to/from Egypt, entry visa ($25 on arrival), meals not mentioned in the itinerary, personal expenses, tips for guides and drivers, and optional activities. Each tour page lists specific inclusions and exclusions.

Absolutely! We specialize in custom itineraries. Share your travel dates, interests, pace preferences, and must-see destinations, and we'll design a personalized Egypt journey around them. Want to spend more time in Luxor? Add Alexandria? Include Red Sea relaxation? Focus on Islamic Cairo? We can adjust any tour or create a completely new itinerary from scratch.

Most nationalities can obtain an Egypt tourist visa on arrival at Cairo Airport for $25 USD (cash). The visa is valid for 30 days and covers all tourist destinations. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. We provide detailed visa guidance specific to your nationality after booking. You can also apply for an e-visa online before travel if you prefer.

For peak season (October-April), we recommend booking 2-3 months ahead for best availability and pricing. Summer travel (May-September) can be booked 4-6 weeks in advance. Private tours offer more flexibility in timing than group tours. Last-minute bookings are sometimes possible but may have limited hotel and cruise availability. Holiday periods (Christmas, New Year, Easter) require earlier booking.

Yes. Egypt's major tourist destinations (Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Red Sea resorts) have strong security measures and welcome millions of visitors annually. Tourist sites have visible security, and our guides are experienced in ensuring guest comfort and safety. We monitor conditions continuously and adjust itineraries if needed. Standard travel precautions apply: watch belongings in crowded areas and follow your guide's local advice.

Nile cruises are multi-day floating hotel experiences between Luxor and Aswan (or reverse). Most cruises are 3-4 nights with guided shore excursions to temples along the route (Edfu, Kom Ombo). Cruises include all meals, onboard entertainment, and a cabin with Nile views. You'll visit major sites while enjoying the scenic river journey. Cruises operate daily and can be combined with Cairo and other destinations.

October to April is ideal, with comfortable temperatures (20-30°C / 68-86°F) perfect for sightseeing. This is peak season, so book 2-3 months ahead. May to September is hotter (35-40°C / 95-104°F) but sites are less crowded and prices often lower. Early mornings and evenings remain pleasant. Nile cruises operate year-round with air-conditioned cabins.

Comfortable, modest clothing is recommended. Cover shoulders and knees when visiting mosques and religious sites. Light, breathable fabrics work best, especially in summer. For Nile cruises, smart casual attire for dinners and comfortable clothes for excursions. Comfortable walking shoes are essential for temple visits. A hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen are recommended year-round.

Tipping is customary and appreciated in Egypt. Budget approximately $50-80 per person for a week-long tour to cover guides, drivers, cruise staff, and hotel porters. We provide detailed tipping guidelines with your tour documents, including specific amounts for each service. Tips are typically given at the end of each service. Small bills (Egyptian pounds or USD) are helpful for daily tips to porters and restaurant staff.

Yes! All our tours include airport meet-and-greet service with private transfers to your hotel. Our representative will meet you at the airport arrivals hall holding a sign with your name, assist with any arrival procedures, and escort you to your private air-conditioned vehicle. This service is included for both arrival and departure, ensuring a smooth, hassle-free experience.

Yes, we can arrange vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal, kosher, and other dietary requirements. Please inform us when booking so we can notify hotels, restaurants, and cruise ships in advance.
